Featured in this lot is this woven polychrome basket from the Tlingit tribe Chilkat circa 1920's. The basket features a wonderfully and professionally crafted hand woven spruce root and bear grass construction that features pictorial decorations of a butterfly's adorning the side walling of this tightly hand woven basket. The condition of this basket is poor with the integrity of the basket towards the top falling apart really denoting the age of the basket but otherwise the rest of the basket is intact. The measurements of this basket is 4 3/4" x 6 1/2" x 4 1/2".
