Featured in this lot is this rare Latama Cutlery Italian clip point switchblade made in Maniago, Italy. The Latama Walts Classic switchblade is considered the “Cadillac” of switchblades due to its incredible design, historic reliability and extremely high quality 5MM backspring. This example has handmade by the Latama artisans in Italy using 440C stainless steel with nickel silver bolsters and pommel, brass bolster linings and pins and features composite grips with a locking mechanism to lock the spring. The blade shows a sharpened clip point design and is marked 'Latama' and 'Italy' on the base of the blade. Each of these Latama knives are handmade with no two being the exact same and very few produced due to the nature of their detailed craft. The condition of this switchblade is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this switchblade folded up is 4 3/4"1 1/8" x 3/4" and unfolded it measures 8 1/8" x 1 1/8" x 3/4" and shows a blade length of 3 1/2".
