Offered in this lot we have, "Tom Beecham" Wildlife Prints from the Remington Wildlife Art Collection Portfolio, A Salute To The Conservation Officer, A Fine Portfolio of Prints, a scenic set of wild animals in a natural environment: "Ruffed Grouse", "Mule Deer", "Rocky Mountain Elk", and "Pintails". Tom Beecham (1926-2000) was a western and wildlife artist and illustrator, creating work for major publishing companies including Reader's Digest, Bantam Books, National Geographic, Outdoor Life, Field and Stream, and Remington Arms Calendars. He served as president of the Society of American Historical Artists, and was also a member of the Society of Animal Artists . During his 30 year career, he painted about 360 paintings, with 12 published each year as prints and calendars. In 1971 Tom Beecham signed on to succeed Bob Kuhn as the artist for Remington Calendar, no one could have foreseen that it was the beginning of a run that would last three decades and result in 348 paintings. These prints are in very nice condition, no obvious marring noted, original envelope. Each measures 12.25"W x 16.5"L
