Featured in this lot is this deer foot frontier hunting knife from Tombstone, Arizona Territory circa 19th century; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The knife features a wonderfully and professionally cr4afted deer foot and steel construciton that shows a single sided dagger or hunting knife with a triangular shape blade and a iron hilt. The blade is unmarked but expertly crafted and the deer foot is well preserved and the sheath is custom made for the shape of the blade. The knife comes complete with an original museum tag that reads as follows: Deer Foot Hunting Knife - Donated by George and Heather Shindo. The condition of this hunting knife is well preserved with some slight wear to the deer foot handle and shows a patina to the blade consistent with age and the leather sheath shows some slight wear but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The overall measurements of the knife in the sheath is 11 5/8" x 2 3/4" and the blade length is 5 7/8". The collective weight of this hunting knife is 4oz.
