Featured in this lot is this seven day straight razor set from the Grand Hotel in Tombstone, A.T. circa 19th century; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. This set of razors is wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows a seven day set encased in a Grand Hotel carrying case with wrapped green leather and slots for seven straight razors with "Grand Hotel" in gilt on the top of the lid. There are five straight razors in this seven day set that includes brands as follows: Urham Uplex, Wester Bros "Maganese" Steel, B.J. Eyre & Co. Challenge Razor - Sheffield, Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. Little Valley NY (with Indian Brand handle), and Buerger Bros Co. Denver COLO - M.i. Germany - Buerger's PET. This set comes complete with an original museum tag that reads as follows: Strait Razor Set from the Grand Hotel in Tombstone - This luxury hotel burnt down in the 1882 fire and was never rebuilt. The Grand Hotel in Tombstone, Arizona, opened in September 1880 and burned down in May 1882. It was considered one of the finest hotels in the state, offering luxurious accommodations and amenities. The Grand Hotel was known for its elegant decor, including Brussels carpets, walnut furnishings, and oil paintings. It was a popular spot for Tombstone's famous residents, including Wyatt and Virgil Earp, Doc Holliday, and the Clanton Gang. The condition of this Grand Hotel razor set is well preserved with two razors missing from the seven day set but otherwise the case shows some wear and the lid spine is torn off with fading to the leather wrapping but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this razor set case is 1 7/8" x 6 7/8" x 3 7/8 and the average measurements of the straight razors is 9 3/4" unfolded. The collective weight of this razor set is 10oz. TT-63
