For your consideration is this lot of Tombstone, Arizona Territory funeral notice, undertaking receipts and ledgers from 1820 to 1909. This lot includes twelve funeral notices from Tombstone, Arizona Territory from 1892-1897 and includes various people from all ages in Tombstone. A few of the funeral notices in this group are as follows: Benjamin F. Hyde (42 years, died 1892), C.R. Bassett (70 years, died 1897), John Waters (53 years), Mrs. A.M. Robinson (31 years, died 1895), William Henry Smith (12 years, died 1893) and George Koff Gray (5 months, died 1893). Next in this lot is a two page letter from the undertaker at O.C. Parker Undertaker in Tucson, Arizona on May 9th, 1907. The next in this lot is a ledger paper from Palace Livery and Undertaking Co. in Bisbee, Arizona in 1909. The next in this lot is a ledger paper from A.L. Ritter, the city Undertaker in Tombstone in the late 1880s. This ledger is dated July 1st, 1888 and shows a large list of expenses, mostly burial prices, for deceased town members. It is signed by him at the bottom and on the back for the paid date. The next piece in this lot is from Murfreesboro, Tennessee and is a receipt for T.H. Wood Funeral Undertaker in 1892. The receipt is for a hearse service and cost the buyer ten dollars. It is signed by T.H. Wood at the bottom of the ledger receipt. The final piece in this lot is a receipt for the funeral expenses of Mrs. Coolidge in Canton, Ohio in 1820. It was paid to Thomas Bradbury & Company for a total of two dollars and fifty-nine cents. The back of the receipt is signed by Thomas Bradbury. These pieces show good condition overall with slight wear present from their age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted.
