Featured in this lot is this Townsend, Montana main street photograph circa 1890-1920's. The photograph is a albumen print taken from an original negative and shows main street in the Town of Townsend, Montana where you can see telephone poles being erected and the Commercial Hotel with The Barnum and Bailey store beyond it. Townsend, Montana was established in 1883 as a stop on the Northern Pacific Railway. The back of the photograph backing for the frame is marked as follows: Townsend, Montana. The condition of this albumen print is good with no obvious signs of damage to the photograph and the frame shows very slight wear to the paint but otherwise shows a good condition. The measurements of this framed photograph is 14 1/2" x 20 1/2" and the visible photograph measures 11" x 17". The collective weight of this framed photograph is 1lb 14oz.
