This lot includes a Navajo Triple Strand Turquoise Sterling Silver Necklace, 925 and artist hallmark stamped. Barrel shaped turquoise stones make up the majority of the necklace with eleven (11) tear drop shaped stones adorning the bottom of the longest strand. The beautiful stones have a spiderweb type matrix of mostly brown, but also some black and blue, and are strung on sturdy Navajo cord that is knotted and braided to form a soft comfortable neck piece. Native Americans associate turquoise with the blue sky and the green earth. It is known as the ’Traveler’s Stone’ and is prized by those who travel by land. They believed that wearing turquoise resulted in happiness and security. Is said to possess healing and protective powers, attracts luck, love, and money. Turquoise helps to ground the spirit while keeping its connection to the infinite open. Turquoise allows the energy path to remain clear. In fact, many First Nation people hold the belief that by wearing turquoise the human mind becomes one with the universe. Sterling stamp 925 on lobster claw clasp, artist hallmark stamp located on chain link medallion at clasp. This turquoise necklace is in good overall condition, patina exhibited on Sterling portions, no obvious marring noted. Stones measure approximately 1/2" to 3/4" in length each, total length of necklace is 10.5"L
