Featured in this lot is a trophy size Alaskan brown bear professionally treated skull. This large brown bear skull shows a huge example with a nice dark patina. The skull has been professionally prepared by a taxidermist and displays a wonderful example of trophy size. The Alaska Peninsula brown bear or "peninsular grizzly" is a colloquial nomenclature for a brown bear that lives in the coastal regions of southern Alaska. The condition of this brown bear skull is good, showing a single tooth missing (third incisor from the right); otherwise this skull is in good condition, with a lovely patina identifying the skull as a desirable antique skull. The measurements of this skull are 6 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 15".
