Presented in this lot is a Tyrolean Porcelain Horn Hand Painted Pipe. 19th century traditional German porcelain pipe variously referred to as a porcelain wine pipe, Tyrolean pipe, Black Forest pipe, or alpine folk pipe. Wood insert has been replaced with similar but not been drilled, designed outdoor scene with Elk on porcelain bowl, carved horn mouthpiece with fabulous condition, twist off clean out on stem bottom. Finely ornate yellow and red tassels, metal cap. it's intricate, primitive and decorative. Pipe is in good condition consistent with age and use, intact measures 31"L x 2.5"W at bowl, insert removes from stem.
