In this lot are twenty eight Venetian Chevron beads of either unique color or style. The first is a four layer brick red and yellow bead that measures 5/8" X 5/8". A bead of this color is very rare to find. The next bead is white, blue, white, yellow, white, and blue and is 7/8" X ¾”. The thing to note with this bead is the lack of any red. The next bead is an oval bead that measures 1" X 1/2". This bead is white, red, yellow, black, white, and red. The thing to note in this bead is the non-traditional colors of yellow, black, and no blue. The next bead is oval and measures 3/4" X 3/8".The color in this bead is white, red, white, black, and yellow. The next bead is a very small (1/4" X 1/8"), six layer bead with white, black, red, white, black, and yellow. The next bead is also very small, measuring 1/4" X 1/4". This bead is layered clear, white, turquoise, white, red, white, and blue. Next is an eight layer, small chevron bead measuring 3/8" X 3/8". The unique thing about this bead is the eight layers and the fact that it is slightly faceted on the side. Next are two rare twisted cane chevron beads. One is 1 1/4" X 3/8 and the other is 3/4" X 1/4 long. The larger one is white, red, white, green, and yellow/red; the smaller bead is red, white, blue, red, and yellow. The next bead is 5/8" long and 3/8" X ¼”. The unique thing about this bead is how it has been ground flat on two sides, showing the layers of white, blue, white, red, white, and blue. The next bead is a six layer chevron with "Aventurine" (copper flakes) in the glass. This bead measures 7/8" X 3/4". The color layers on this bead are white, blue, white, red, white, and blue. The next bead is a 1" X 3/4" four layer bead with a large white cane with blue, white, and red layers. The next two beads are white, red, white, and black. One is 7/8" long and the other is 3/4" and both are 1/4" wide. The next four beads have very wide white cores. Three are four layered white, red, white, and blue (one so dark blue as too look almost black). One bead is 7/8" X 3/4"; one is 5/8" X 1/2"; the third is 7/8' X 5/8" and the last is 5/8 X 1/2". The last bead is carved with eight angels. The next two are small, one oval and one cylinder. The oval one is six layer white, blue, white, red, white, and blue and measures 1" X 7/8". The cylinder bead has four layers of white, red, white, and blue and measures3/4" X 1/4". The last group of beads consists of eight very early primitive, dark blue and white four layer chevrons. Four of the beads are approximately 1/4" X 1/4"; the larger four beads are approximately 1/2" X 1/2". One of the larger beads is misshapen and two of them have off center holes. Some of the beads in this lot are quite old, but all are in good condition.
