Featured in this lot is this photograph and ephemera collection from the Veliar Sanders Estate: a Tombstone Pioneer circa early 1900's; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. There are two photographs and a grocer receipt in this collection the photographs are produced from Humphries Photo Co. Photographers Engravers El Paso, Texas and show the Veliar Sanders Estate, and the train station. There are original museum tags that read as follows: From the Estate of Veliar Sanders, a Tombstone Pioneer - Mr. & Mrs. Veliar Sanders came to Tombstone with their 4 sons: Frank, Jesse anbd Charles - who ran the store - and Perry or "Bud" who was a miner and later killed in a Tombstone Mine. The family plot is in the new cemetery in Tombstone, just to the right of the main entrance. This collection is donated by the Grandson of Charles, Scott Follett. His mother is Louis, born in 1916. Her sister is Velma born in 1914. The condition of this these Gallery photographs and grocer tally receipt is well preserved with some wear and fading to the receipt and browning to the page consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition.
