Hummel figurines or simply Hummels) are a series of heartwarming and whimsical porcelain figurines based on the drawings of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel (1909-1946). Hummel's "art cards" became popular throughout Germany, catching the eye of Franz Goebel, porcelain maker and head of W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik, and the first line was produced in 1935. Figurines include: Goose Girl (Ganseliest), Happy Pastime, Serenade, Barnyard Hero, Auf Wiedersehen, Autumn Harvest (Herbstsegen), The Lost Sheep, Not For You, Playmates, Just Resting, and, Doll Bath. All figurines feature Goebel hallmarks appropriate for respective years of manufacture. The figurines are in good condition overall, nice original colours. Largest figurine measures 6.75"H x 2.5"W x 3.25"L, smallest is 3"W x 3"L x 3.5"H. Combined weight is 3lb, 8oz.
