This is a vintage Duluth Pack No. 2 Cruiser. The pack is marked "No. 2 Cruiser and is believed to be made by Duluth Pack in Minnesota. According to Wikipedia, the No. 2 Cruiser Pack was developed in the 1940's and 1950's for people needing a durable pack they could take into the woods with them that would be narrow enough as not to snag on branches. The No. 2 Cruiser pack is more narrow than the larger canoe packs. The pack features a box shape, webbed cotton shoulder straps, a slash pocket on the inside, and is secured with adjustable leather straps with nickel roller buckles.
