The tribal kilim is wonderfully and professionally crafted woven wool construction that shows a traditional tribal kilim design. The region of Eastern Anatolia borders the Caucasian republics that recently gained independence from the now-defunct Soviet Union; It also abuts Iran, formerly known as Persia. The region has experienced Turkish, Kurdish, Azeri, Armenian, Russian, and Iranian influence, to a greater or lesser degree, some of which is evident in the designs and coloring of weavings made here. The rug features a beautiful intricate design with symmetrical geometric design and vibrant coloration to the geometric patterns and central medallions. The rug displays colors of green, orange, red, teal, yellow, and blue. The rug displays tassels on each end.
