Offered in this lot is a Vintage George Lawrence Tooled Model 22A Holster, circa 1940s. The holster features a wonderfully and professionally crafted leather construction displaying hand-tooled designs on both the front and reverse, with the "football stamp" company logo and size (22A) stamped adjacent to the belt loop on the reverse. The George Lawrence Co., a firm established in Portland, Oregon in 1857 was originally a premier saddlery and harness shop before becoming renowned for its high-quality handgun holsters, cartridge belts, and scabbards. Lawrence holsters were known for their exquisite tooling, often featuring intricate floral patterns and the company's distinct maker's stamp. This"Slim Jim" style holster is in good overall condition, stitching is tight and intact, hammer thong snap displays patina, bottom has hole. Overall holster displays rich patina throughout.
