For your consideration is an Extremely Rare Louis Vuitton Travel Picnic case, "Avenue Marceau" circa 1950s-1960s. Louis Vuitton is one of the world's leading international fashion houses. It sells its products through standalone boutiques and lease departments in high-end department stores. Vuitton is known as one of the world's most valuable luxury brand. The case utilizes the iconic "LV" Monogram canvas on the exterior, and is lined with the original cream coloured canvas on the interior. The interior label reads, "LOUIS VUITTON 870338 AVe Marceau 78bis. Paris Nice. 2 AVe Gustave V". This hardside carrying case features two separate slots with one for a removable vacuum-insulated bottle manufactured by Ets Thermos Peters Paris, made in France. The bottle is engraved on the top of the removable cup/lid, "THERMOS Marque Depose PARIS". The base is stamped, "Ets Thermos Peters Paris, Made in France". The chrome plated copper exterior cylinder screws off. The case also includes a slot with a removable rectangular stainless steel container for baguette, crackers, food, etc. The contained is stamped on the bottom, "L. VUITTON". The case has an adjustable leather carrying strap, proper functioning brass locking hasp includes the key. Case and accessories are in good overall condition. Vacuum bottle measures 10.25"H x 3"W, stainless container is 4"W x 9.75"L x 3"D. Case is 5"W x 7.5"L x 12.5"H at carrying strap. Total combined weight is 5lb, 14oz.
