Offered in this lot is a Vintage Mexican Sterling Silver Dangle Earring Collection, circa 1940s-1960s. Mexico is the world's largest producer of silver, with historic mines in Zacatecas, Guanajuato, and Durango that have been operating for centuries and continue to yield large quantities of silver. The unassuming city of Taxco in the Mexican mountains is famous for producing some of the finest handmade silver jewellery in the world and is often referred to as ‘the silver capital of the world’. The first pair are gorgeous 1.75" long croissant-style puffy earrings are an awesome statement piece to wear. The second pair are 1.25" long croissant-style puffy earring companions to the first pair. The third pair feature a 1.5" long twisted rope horseshoe design. The last pair features hoop earrings, ".925 DM" stamped on the reverse. Each set is in good condition, rich patina noted throughout. Collective weight is 52.5 grams.
