The centerstone is is a oval modified brilliant cut tanzanite stone with measurements of 13.4 x 9.4 x 5.2mm and shows a violetish blue coloration and a very good cut grade and a total weight of 5.02 carats. Tanzanite is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. It was originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company, who named the stone Tanzanite.
