Offered in this lot is a Vintage McGraw Electric Toastmaster Waffle Baker, circa 1930s to 1957. This commercial waffle maker runs on household current, features dual unit with two separate 7" aluminum grids. Each burner has a separate on/off and an A-G temperature control, original cord attached. The top brass manufacturing plate reads, "Manufactured by McGraw Electric Company Toastmaster Products Division Elgin, Illinois U.S.A. U.S. Pat. 1,540,628 1,907,199 Volts 115 Watts 2000 Current AC (serial number) 12858 Model 2E1". Brass brand plate on the front reads, "TOASTMASTER WAFFLE BAKER". The Toastmaster brand was established by Waters-Genter Company in 1921 (known for the first automatic pop-up toaster). It was later acquired by McGraw Electric in 1929 and eventually became part of McGraw-Edison in 1957. These appliances are highly sought after by collectors for their durability and classic, aesthetic appeal. This Toastmaster waffle baker is in good overall condition, Art-Deco styling, chrome-plated finish has scratches throughout consistent with normal use. The aluminum grids are dark from use and intact. Due to age, unknown if operational. Measures 16"W x 20"L x 8"H, weight is 24lb, 12oz.
