Featured in this lot are a Vintage pair of Tom Hill Leather Riding Boots, circa early to mid 1900s. Tom Hill, founded in 1873 in the Knightsbridge neighborhood of London, England, was a workshop famous for making riding and military boots. Knightsbridge is an upscale area with grand Victorian homes and leafy garden squares that includes the iconic Harrods department store and the historic Victoria and Albert Museum. These riding boots are in very nice preserved condition with rich patina noted throughout, including the trees which each have the Tom Hill hallmark button attached at the top, "Tom Hill London S.W.1. (Knightsbridge) Ltd;". The leather appears in quite supple and intact condition, soles exhibit normal wear from use and age. Shoelaces and eyelets are in good condition. Each boot measures approximately 11"L, 19"H, trees are 23"H each. Combined weight is 11lb, 8oz.
