Presented in this lot is a Vintage Turquoise Ring Collection (4), circa 1940s-1960s. Included are Cripple Creek, Sleeping Beauty, and Royston turquoise stones. In Southwest Indian beliefs, turquoise is most commonly mentioned by the Navajo, the Apache, the Hopi, and the Pueblo. This stone is considered by these peoples one of the most important for body and soul protection, a symbol of heavenly purity, and an enduring symbol of luxury, wealth, power, and status. The stones featured include petit point, needlepoint and larger cabochons. Sizes are 5, 6.5, 7, and 8. Combined weight 17 gms.
