Featured in this lot is this German made Wadsworth Razor Company celluloid handle straight razor from 1905-1910s with Art Nouveau woman on handle. The trademark Wadsworth Razor Company XLNT was used by Adolph Kastor in Germany from 1905 to 1936. The blade is marked reading, "Wadsworth Razor Co. XLNT / Germania Cutl. Works Germany". The front of the celluloid handle has an embossed nude image of a woman with uplifted arms. She stands on a lily pad against an intricate vine and floral background. The back of the handle is plain and features no markings. The razor comes in an old straight razor box but does not match the markings on the blade. The straight razor shows good condition overall with wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. The blade measures 5 5/8" L x 5/8" W, while the handle measures 5 1/2" L x 5/8" W. When folded, the entire piece measures 6" L x 7/8" W. The box measures 6 5/8" L x 1 3/8" W x 5/8" D.
