Featured in this lot we have a Warranted Numrich Arms rotating swivel barrel percussion cap black powder rifle with a leather and beadwork barrel sheath chambered in .45 caliber. The rifle displays an over under style rotating octagonal barrels, bladed front sights, walnut stock, percussion cap hammer, brass butt plate, and beaded sheath. This unique rifle shows a manual rotating swivel barrel system with dual percussion systems sharing the same hammer and trigger system. The sides of the barrels show wooden ram rods on each sides. The barrels are marked across the top of one barrel "Numrich Arms West Hurley NY" and the other barrel marked with the serial number "01289". The stock shows walnut construction with a brass butt plate with a brass storage door with two .45 caliber balls in the storage container. The lock plate is marked across the side "Warranted". The rifle comes with a leather rifle sheath with fringe across the bottom. The top of the sheath displays Native American geometric beadwork in colors of white, blue, red, black, light blue, and yellow. The piece shows good condition overall with some wear and light pitting due to age and use. Serial Number: 01289.
