Featured in this lot is this western Arizona Cheek silver mounted bridle circa 1930's. There is a bridle bit and attached headstall in this collection. The bridle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted leather, iron, and silver mounted construction that shows a implaced slobber bar with silver mounting that is stamped and decorated along with shank cheek pieces that are silver mounted with intricate decoration that includes stamped with vines and a floral decoration on the solder concho parallel with bit and a small rectangle of silver mounting above that. This would have been the pride and joy of a working buckaroo with the ornated silver mounting and shows use of the bit by the grinding close to the shanks and shows a half cradle Mona Lisa frame without the cricket or hood. The headstall is professionally crafted with rounded leather and silver cylinder decorative sheathes up the sides and to the brow band of the headstall with a silver head to head horses and a horseshoe shown in decoration. The condition of this western bridle and headstall is preserved with oxidation to the bit and patina to the silver mounting and the headstall shows some wear from age but otherwise shows preserved overall condition. The measurements of this bridle bit and headstall is 26 1/2" x 6 1/4" x 2 1/4". The collective weight of this bridle bit and headstall is 1lb 14oz.
