For your consideration is a Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle, manufactured in 1885. This rifle is marked 38 Cal. on barrel and lower brass plate. Fixed blade front and adjustable rear step sights. The 20" round blue'd barrel is marked "Winchester's-Repeating-Arms New Haven, CT - King's - Improvement - Patented - March 29, 1866. October 16, 1860". Serial number on the lower tang and "MODEL 1873" on the upper tang. Smooth straight grain walnut stock and fore grip are in very good condition. This firearm has a steel button cap on the end of the magazine. The rifle has a steel cresent but plate with a brass butt trap in good condition but has no cleaning rod. Serial Number: 181398B. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
