The Winchester Model 1892 was a lever-action repeating rifle designed by John Browning as a smaller, lighter version of his large-frame Model 1886, and which replaced the Model 1873 as the company's lever-action for pistol-caliber rounds such as the .44-40. This rifle shows good furniture condition, no noticeable deep dents or scratches and only a repair on the fore grip. The mechanics of the rifle are tight and function beautifully. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Overall a great example of a Model 1892. The receiver and barrel show little bluing and some shallow pitting. This rifle was manufactured in 1893.
