Featured in this lot we have a Winchester Model 70 bolt action rifle chambered in .270 caliber. The rifle was manufactured by Winchester in 1953. This hunting rifle displays a 24" long barrel, walnut stock, leather shoulder strap, internal magazine, and bolt action. The receiver features scope attachment rails across the top with the barrel showing adjustable rear sight and hooded front sight. The barrel is marked across the left side reading "MADE IN NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S. OF AMERICA WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL - WINCHESTER TRADE MARK - MODEL 70 - 270 WIN." with the frame marked across the side reading "WINCHESTER TRADE MARK". Mechanically the rifle shows a crisp trigger and clean bolt movements. The rifle comes with a leather shoulder carry strap with etched geometric design across the face of the strap. The rifle shows wonderful condition with good blue'd finish and some slight wear due to handling. The rifle weighs 9 lbs. Serial Number: 274261. This is a modern firearm and requires a FFL transfer or NICS background check.*
