Presented in this lot is these Rare Winchester Rep. Arms Co. Model 1894 38-55 Reloading Tools (2), patent date February 13, 1894. This highly collectible, compact antique hand-operated reloading press was designed specifically to serve the large rifle cartridges of the era, and was frequently paired with the legendary Winchester Model 1894 rifle which originally debuted in .38-55 and .32-40 calibers. This reloading tool is an ingenious, compact hand press patented by William Mason on February 13, 1894 (Patent #514722). Designed to handle large rifle cartridges, it enabled shooters to fully resize, deprime, and seat black powder ammunition on the go. Because the .38-55 caliber possesses known challenges regarding groove diameters and varying brass dimensions, these tools serve as fascinating pieces of black powder reloading history. The condition of these reloading tools is good, with no obvious signs of damage, slight oxidation visible. Each measures 3"W x 7.25"L x 1.25"D, collective weight is 4lb.
