Featured in this lot is a WWI era McClellan cavalry with saddle bags. The saddle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted leather construction showing a cavalry saddle design with the split in the tree and no horn. As a U.S. Cavalry saddle bag it is marked 'U.S.' The saddle also comes with a field blanket attached to the back of the saddle and shows a lacquered wooden saddle stand that is decorated with U.S. Cavalry division cross swords for the Buffalo Soldiers. The condition of this WWI saddle is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The overall measurements of this saddle are 33 1/2" x 16" x 24" and the seat size is 13 1/2".*
