This is an early WWII Japanese Arisaka Rifle Type 30 Bayonet marked No. 9. The bayonet shows a curled quillon (seen in rare prewar variations) with naval type cross guard and full metal scabbard/sheath with rounded tip. The scabbard shows a metal belt frog sheath with a rounded tip. The plaque on the handle is marked "No. 9". The condition of this bayonet is well preserved with some slight patina adorning the blade and discoloration to the hilt and handle consistent with age and exposure but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The overall measurements of this bayonet is 19 7/8" and the blade length is 15 1/8". The collective weight of this bayonet is 1lb 5oz.
