Featured in this lot is this WWII era U.S.M.C trench theater fighting knife, circa 1945. The knife boasts an older design without any maker’s mark and shows a personally sharpened blade, prospectively from the Marine who owned it; the clipped point has been sharpened into an almost double-sided blade point. The knife is shown in a midcentury case that reads, “Case XX - United States Marine Corps – USMC". The condition of this blade is good and working, with patina and wear consistent with age and use. The measurements of this knife in its sheath are 13" x 2 3/4" x 2" and the blade length is 6 3/4".
