Offered in this lot we have a World War 2 US Navy U.S.N. Mark 1 fighting knife with sheath originating from the early 1940's. The knife was manufactured by Camillus in New York. The knife shows a nice straight blade with full tang and leather grips. The knife is marked on the blade reading "U.S.N. MARK 1" on the left side and "Camillus N.Y." on the right side. It comes with its original sheath made of canvas steel and rubber. The sheath is marked U.S.N. MK 1" across the front and "Nord-6804 - B M Co 1/0 VP" across the back. The piece is in very good condition with some minor sheath friction wear on the blade and some slight rusting on parts of the sheath. The blade measures 5" long and 9 1/2" overall. The sheath measures 10 3/4" long by 2" wide.
