Featured in this lot is this bottle found in Wyatt Earp's Lucky Day Mine circa 1880's and donated by Steve Rowe and displayed in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The bottle is wonderfully and professionally crafted green colored glass construction with no marks and comes complete with an original museum tag that reads as follows: found in Wyatt Earp's Lucky Day Mine Donated by Steve Rowe. Wyatt Earp's Lucky Day Mine was part of a larger mining operation he established in the southeastern Mojave Desert near the Whipple Mountains in 1906. He and his wife, Josie, discovered this mine along with others named "Happy Days," "Copper Accident," "Colorado," "Cave," "Giant," "Hercules," and "Happy Day". These claims were located about four miles west of the Colorado River crossing at Parker, Arizona. The Lucky Day Mine, also known as the "Wyatt Earp Mine" or "Roosevelt Mine," was examined in 1980 as part of the mineral appraisal of the Whipple Mountains Wilderness Study Area. The condition of this Lucky Day Mine found bottle is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this bottle is 8" x 2" x 2".
