For auction in this lot is a Yugoslavian Model 98 Mauser Bolt Action Rifle, chambered in 8mm. The rifle utilizes a hardwood stock, a blue'd finish, straight-pull bolt - with flag safety, adjustable ladder rear sight, with a hooded front sight, and a 23 1/2" round barrel. The rifle is stamped on the front of the receiver with a large Emblem of Yugoslavia, and is additionally marked on the receiver with Serbo-Croatian text reading "Preduzece 44". The receiver, and the stock and receiver are marked "6022", while the floor plate is marked "N 3734". The rifle shows good condition overall, with a smooth action, a bright bore, with strong rifling, and solid bluing. The rifle does show some light handling marks to the wooden stock, and some light patina to the blue'd finish. Serial Number C 6022.
