Featured in this lot is this collection of Zapotec medallion Saltillo salesman sample rugs. There are three rugs in this collection. The first is Saltillo with a grey field, bands near the fringe, and an arrow figural with a medallion centered on the rug in colors of cream, salmon pink, and maroon-pink. The second shows a traditional Saltillo with bands near the fringe, stepped pair of bands near the center, and a medallion in the center of the rug; the colors include a light blue field with bands of black, pink, dark blue, and off-white. The third rug shows a traditional Saltillo design with bands of black, red, and off-white near the fringe and two medallions set to the center with red, black, and off-white coloration. The condition of these rugs is good, showing some discoloration to the light blue rug. The measurements are as follows: 38 1/2" x 17 1/2" and 43" x 19 1/2" and finally 34" x 14".
