Featured in this lot we have a unmarked American percussion cap black powder rifle chambered in .38 caliber. The rifle was manufactured in the mid to late 1800's. The rifle shows a 30" octagonal barrel, walnut stock, dual trigger system, brass trigger guard and butt plate, and under barrel ram rod. The rifle is free of makers marks and stamps. Mechanically the rifle shows intermittent functionality. The barrel and stock are missing their screws and attached with cords on the tang and foregrip. The rifle shows fair condition overall with wear and damage due to age and use. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
