Featured in this lot we have a G. GOULCHER signed black powder percussion cap american rifle chambered in .48 cal. This is a circa 1840's percussion rifle features a 43 1/2" long octagonal barrel, curly maple full stock, brass trigger guard, dual trigger system, brass lock plate, and percussion cap hammer system. The lock plate displays a percussion cap hammer with the lock plate marked with a scroll design and signed "G. GOULCHER". The maple stock displays some light wear from use and a dark paint or tar finish. The rifle shows a good working action and double trigger system. The rifle is in good condition overall with some wear and rust due to age and use. No Serial Number. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
