Featured in this lot we have a Haynes Yellowstone National Park color photo-gravure album originating from the 1880's. Frank Jay Haynes, known as F. Jay was a professional photographer, publisher, and entrepreneur from Minnesota who played a major role in documenting through photographs the settlement and early history of the great Northwest. Frank Jay Haynes first photographed Yellowstone National Park in 1881 and created a family dynasty that would span eighty plus years. The album displays 21 colored photos of views across the park. The photos include Mammoth Hot Springs, Gardiner Canyon, Old Faithful, Norris Geyser Basin, and more. The album shows good condition for its age with some wear and damage. It measures 14" wide by 10 1/4" tall.
