This is an incredible hand etched / engraved solid brass oil lamp with matching etched / engraved shade having glass beaded fringe dating from the late 19th Century in a travelers Art Nouveau pattern. The lamp shows brass construction with etched pyramids, geometric patterns surrounding them on the walls of the lamp, and a detachable body of the lamp. Likely made by a traveler paying homage to their finds but overall having a very Art Nouveau styling and make. The lamp shade shows a carved design of floral decoration and drop down beaded curtain with transparent colors of red, green, yellow, and black. The piece was originally an oil lamp with the original oil canister still intact, but was later converted to electric likely in the 1930-1950’s. This lamp has been plugged in and works. The condition of this lamp is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this lamp are 13 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 9 1/2".
