Featured in this lot is this 1893 edition of "Tenting on the Plains" by Elizabeth Custer. The book features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that is a book that was written by General George Armstrong Custer's wife and provides a descriptive account of General Custer's service in Kansas and Texas. The book comes complete with correspondence from 1947 with E.A. Brininstool about the book and related literature concerning before during and after The Battle of Little Bighorn. The book comes complete with a museum or collector tag that reads as follows: 1396-87 - O'dell. The condition of this book shows separation to the outside spine and some wear tot he inside of the spine with browning to the pages consistent with age. The measurements of this book is 7 3/8" x 5 1/4". The collective weight of this book is 1lb 2oz. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M.
