Featured in this lot is this 1931 A Warrior Who Fought Custer by Thomas Marquis. This book is the interpreted story of Wooden Leg who fought against Custer and is illustrated with printed photography throughout. The book comes complete with correspondence to a Mr. E.A. Brininstool about books the collector has bought from him and speaks about his doubt that famous Indian Scouts did what their reputation says they did; also come with a Insurance Parcel reciept. The book comes with a Collector or Museum tag that reads as follows: 1396-87 - O'dell. The condition of this book is well preserved with some wear to the outside spine of the book and to the corners of the cover with some very slight browning to the pages due to age. The measurements of this book is 8 3/4" x 5 3/4". The collective weight of this book is 1lb 10oz. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M. Russell Museum from 1987 to 1993 and included in the "The Cowboy West: 100 Years of Photography 1992-1993 exhibit.
