Featured in this lot is this 1951 first edition Legend into History by Charles Kuhlman with correspondence regarding the content and ideology of the book and the authors perspective. The book features an analytical study of the Battle of Little Big Horn from the mind of Charles Kuhlman, PH.D and includes a map and personnel list of the 7th Cavalry under Custer. The letters include perspective from none other than Fred Dustin and the second correspondence is from E.A. Brininstool in the context of the purchasing of more literature concerning The Battle of Little Big Horn. All this from the John Kleinschmidt Personal Collection and includes a museum or collectors tag that reads as follows: 1396-87 O'Dell. The condition of this book is preserved with some wear to the outside cover and the cloth wrapping and gilt lettering of the book with the inside spine in tact but showing a tear tot he paper covering of the inside spine. The book measurements of this book is 9 1/4" x 6 3/8". The collective weight of this book is 1lb 6oz. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M.
