Featured in this lot is this 1976 The Polar and Tropical Worlds by Dr. G. Hartwig. The book features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows a comprehensive work authored by Dr. Georg Hartwig, a German scientist and natural historian. The book, published in the late 19th century, explores the contrasting environments of the Earth's polar and tropical regions, offering detailed descriptions of the geography, climate, flora, fauna, and human life in these extreme parts of the world. Dr. Georg Hartwig (1813–1880) was a German naturalist, physician, and author known for his works on natural history and geography. He wrote extensively on a variety of scientific topics, often focusing on the wonders of the natural world and how different environments influenced life on Earth. The condition of this book shows a well preserved overall condition with browning to the pages consistent with the books age and shows some wear to the book cover and corners but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this book is 9 7/8" x 6 3/4" x 2 5/8". The collective weight of this book is 10oz.
