Featured in this lot is this framed chromolithograph from Montana artist Gary Carter (born in 1939) and called "The Big Sneak." The artwork shows a mountain man stalking on the side of a creek opposite a herd of elk; the scenery features freshly fallen snow covered brush and a wintry mountain scene in the background. The artist’s hallmark can be seen in the bottom right-hand corner of the artwork, which is numbered 796/850. Gary Carter is a Yellowstone, Montana artist and was inducted into the Cowboy Artist of American (CAA Member) in 1982. Gary Carter was also adopted into the Crow Tribe and Real Bird Family and made a member of the Big Lodge Clan, given the name of “Eagle Man”. The condition of this framed chromolithograph is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this framed chromolithograph are 33 1/4" x 41"; the visible art measures 22" x 31".
