Featured in this lot is this 4.47ct Tanzanite VS2 diamond 14k gold earrings with GGA paperwork. The earrings feature a polished, stamped, and tested 14k white gold construction and is marked '14k' on teh stud backing. The earrings show center stones of triangular brilliant and faceted cut Tanzanite gemstones that shows measurements of 8.25 x 8.27 and 8.28 x 7.88mm and shows a clarity of type 1 with bluish violet color and shows a total weight of 4.47cts. Tanzanite Is a very rare precious gemstone that is only found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967 by Tiffany & Company who named the stone Tanzanite. Tanzantite is unique due to its exceptional pleochroism (an optical phenomenon in which a stone has different colors when observed at different angles). This example is a nearly flawless eye clarity and unbelievable depth with transparent finish. The center stones are decorated with a total of 30 round brilliant cut diamonds that shows measurements of 2 x 1.8mm that shows a clarity of VS2 - SI1 and a coloration of G - H with a total diamond weight of 0.58cts. The piece comes complete with GGA(GemAssure Gemological Appraisals, GGA Appraisal Number#: GGA068532 and trace number: ER007456) report and appraisal confirming the above info and giving a total value of $13,640.00.
