This lot features an antique set of beautiful engraved brass sleigh bells. The bells are firmly set in the rich brown leather strap, and shake with a gorgeous, reverberating tone. The bells are all of the same size and are affixed to the leather strap. These straps were often fixed to the reigns of a large carriage, to alert pedestrians of the oncoming traffic. The bells are in good condition overall with a warm patina and some spots of discoloration and a few missing bells, the leather is in fair condition with the the strap having broke near the buckle along with some wear due to age.
