For your consideration are four framed Charles M. Russell prints that were included in The Cowboy West: 100 Years of Photography 1992-1993 exhibit at the C.M. Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana. The first is tiled, "The First Furrow" and shows a Native American man approaching a cowboy as his horse grazes in the field. A group of Native Americans sit on horse back in the background. The bottom left reads, "C.M. Russell 1907". The second piece is titled, "Boss of the Trail Herd" and shows a cowboy on horse back directing his workers where to run the herd of cattle. The bottom left reads, "C.M. Russell 1905". The third piece in this lot is titled, "The Red Man's Wireless" and shows a group of four Native American men on horseback traveling through the open valley, watching the sunset. The bottom left reads, "C.M. Russell ©16". The fourth and final print is titled, "The Exalted Ruler" and shows a large bull elk over looking the valley as his herd travels ahead of him. The bottom right reads, "To My Brother C.M. Russell 1912 ©", while the bottom center and left read, "The Exalted Ruler / Copyright B.P.O.E. No. 214 - Great Falls, Montana 1959". The pieces show good condition overall with slight wear present from their handling over the years. No major signs of damage noted. Provenance: From the John Kleinschmidt collection which was on loan to the C.M. Russell Museum from 1987 to 1993 and included in the "The Cowboy West: 100 Years of Photography 1992-1993 exhibit.
