The medicine bag features a wonderfully and professionally crafted Indian tanned hide, trade seed beads, and trade string construction with trade seed bead coloration that includes: chalk white, sky blue, medium blue, Cheyenne pink, and greasy yellow. Gros Ventre People are also known as People of the Waterfalls or Waterfalls People. They are the Saulteaux of Montana. They originally lived along the Great Falls of the Missouri River. They are also known as White Clay People or White Earth People. The condition of this Gros Ventre beaded medicine bag is preserved with heavy patina to the beadwork and fracturing to hide frame of the bag but otherwise is in preserved condition. The measurements of this medicine bag is 7 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 7/8". The collective weight of this medicine bag is U4oz.
