Featured in this lot is this collection of personal effects of Virgil Earp circa 1900 to 1910; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. This is a collection of Virgil Earp's personal effects from his own home and once housing his most prized possessions. The first is a photo album wrapped in leather and opening like a book; per the museum tag: Virgil's photo case which held Allie's photo - original photo sold by the family years ago. The second is a match holder from Goldfield Brewing Co. found in Goldfield, Nev. where Vigil died of pneumonia in 1905; The original museum tag reads as follows: Match Holder - "Compliments of Goldfield Brewing Co." - Found in Goldfield, Nev. - Virigil Earp died of pneumonia there in 1905. The last item is an official drawer handle off of one of the cabinets from Virgil's house; the museum tag reads as follows: Drawer pull from Virgil Eapr's house. The condition of this collection of Virgil Earp memorabilia is preserved with the photograph frame showing some wear consistent with age and the match holder and drawer handle show age with the handle detached from its door but otherwise shows a preserved condition. The measurements of this collection is 3 5/8" x 3 1/4" x 5/8" for the photo album, 2 1/2" x 2 5/8" x 5/8" for the drawer handle, 1 1/4" x 1 3/4" x 1/2" for the match holder.
